Tentoonstelling Verhalenreis - www.tropenmuseum.nl

Grenzeloze Verhalen zijn negen korte films van ieder ongeveer 3 minuten, bij de permanente tentoonstelling Verhalenreis van het Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam. De verhalen gaan over objecten die de vertellers uit hun land van herkomst hebben meegenomen. De verhalen zijn landgrenzen gepasseerd, hebben zich aangepast en zijn gaan horen bij hun nieuwe omgeving.

De films gaan over:    Nô-maskers uit Japan, verteller Paul de Leeuw

                                Het Jaguar masker uit Mexico, verteller Edoardo Ramos

                                Het Morenada masker uit Bolivia, verteller Roberto Callisaya

                                Het muziekinstrument de kora uit Mali, verteller Zoumana Darra

                                Het muziekinstrument de saz uit Turkije, vertellers Behsat Üvez

                                en Ömer Kadan

                                Waterstokpoppen uit Vietnam, verteller John Kleinen

                                Draadpoppen uit Birma, Naing Yee Mar

                                De Vertelstaf uit Iran, verteller Sahand Sahebdivani

                                Jan Klaassen en Katrijn uit Nederland, verteller Wim Kerkhove

De tentoonstelling is 11 september 2008 geopend.

Exhibition Travelling Tales - www.tropenmuseum.nl

Boundless Stories are nine short films (each 3 minutes) which form a part of the permanent exhibition Travelling Tales in the Tropenmuseum, Amsterdam. The stories are about objects which the storytellers brought from their country of origen. The stories travel with their tellers, they pass bounderies, they adapt and soon they belong to their new surroundings.

The exhibition is inaugurated on 11-11-2008.
